Among the biggest highlights of the NCAAF seasons Saturday slate is this years version of the Red River Showdown. The Oklahoma Sooners and Texas Longhorns will do battle in the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.
Oklahoma enters the game ranked 6th in the country and boasting one of the most prolific offenses in all College Football. The team has outscored opponents and is a. Although the defense has looked the offense is not missing a beat with Jalen Hurts behind centre.
Texas is ranked 11th and checks in. The lone blemish has been among the programs in the country through fourteen days and came courtesy of a house defeat a group thats ranked 5th, to LSU. The Longhorns have responded by ripping off three wins in a row, since dropping that tilt, and they have three wins on the 2019 resume.
These are the two best programs from the Big 12, and they have a tradition of hooking up for some occasions. We could be in store for an additional one on Saturday afternoon. Let us take a closer look at this tilt, beginning with the sport lines.

Hurts is inserted in the Heisman conversation. Hes pitched for 1,523 yards, 14 scores and 2 selections while completing 75.2 percent of his passes. Hurts has also rushed for 499 yards and seven TDs. While the pass catchers are paced by CeeDee Lamb in 18/439/7 the backs are led by trey Sermon with a lineup of 45/345/4. Kenneth Murray leads the team with 37 tackles.
The Texas offense has been productive and balanced, while the defense is showing any weakness against the pass. The Longhorns will hold lesser foes in check, as play in the Big 12 continues to heat up, but this might be a problem. Shoring up QB protection is an place for the staff. It can be slung by ehlinger, but additional time wouldnt hurt.
Ehlinger has completed 69.4 percent of his throws for 1,448 yards, 17 TDs and 2 INTs. On the ground, he has run for 236 yards and 3 scores. Keaontay Ingram leads the road out of the backfield at 66/313/3. Devin Duvernay is the pass catcher with a line of 45/463/4. Caden Sterns tops the team with 30 tackles, however Brandon Jones along with Joseph Assai are directly behind with 29 each.
This is one of the most historic rivalries in all of College Football. Texas leads the string by a perimeter of 62-47. The Longhorns took a seasons regular season showdown in a memorable affair by a score of 48-45, however, the Sooners bounced back for a 39-27 win when they met at the Big 12 title trick.
